The White Horse.

Details of my recently completed mural in Cork at The White Horse pub in Cork as part of the Ballincollig winter music festival.

This mural felt closer to how I paint a canvas in my studio, each day drawing inspiration from the local environment and history, talking to people and encouraging ideas to feed into the work. Animals, plants, landscape and folklore leading the way. @manchanmagan @wildmarymary and St Bridget whispered stories and poems and ideas around sprit animals, the language of the land and the power of Rewilding. The Hares corner and the Rambling House became my home for a week, with music and song unravelling in all directions. I love that my work takes me to so many places, sometimes the place and people become collaborators, I feel like I am part of something more than me and my work, something shared, learning along the way. Very grateful for the opportunity to leave a little mark on a wall in magical Cork. So much love to Joe and the White Horse family and staff.
